Let's make a bag

One of my sewing friends suggested we should have a go at making a crossbody quilted bag so today three of us took over Sally's kitchen to make bags.  This shot is my bag at about the halfway stage.  It was rather fiddly with lots of things to do that were totally new to me like quilting and straps for starters.  Throw in a zip, a phone pocket and a key holder and quite a complicated lining and you have a full day's work with talk time included.  My major problem was not seeing how it was all going to go together.

I realise now that I should have the pattern on both sides of the bag going the same way. ..
