Waterfalls

I had to go to Truro today to pick up some greenery so I can get the Christmas planters done for a client, plus I can do my own planters.

There has been some rare types of geese spotted with a flock of Canada geese in the same area where the sandhill cranes are still hanging out. I found the sandhill cranes, but never saw any geese in the area. I didn't spend a lot of time looking. After I got home I saw that someone else had posted they had been looking for the geese but didn't see them near their last reported location.

I decided since I was in the area I would go for a walk at Victoria Park. They are still working on repairing the damage that happened over a year ago when Hurricane Fiona blew thru. Jacob's Ladder has been rebuilt, it was still closed when I was there last winter. It is a set of over 200 steps going up the side of a bank. Part of the trail on one side of the river has been closed again, I assume there are some problems with erosion now that the trees are not there to protect the bank. Fortunately there is a trail on the other side of the river that can be used. I did climb the 85+ steps that take you from the bottom of the waterfalls up to another trail that will also take you back to the parking lot.
On the way home there was an accident on the highway, a dump truck had went into the ditch. Traffic was backed up for a few kilometers. It took me a half hour to go from the airport exit to the Fall River exit, normally that takes less than 10 minutes.
Going out with a new social group tomorrow morning to a ceramic painting workshop. Then I have a doctor's appointment in the afternoon. Rain in the forecast for tomorrow afternoon into Thursday.
