Little and Large

Just after 0600 my lifeboat pager went off and we launched to a 90m cargo ship aground about two and a half miles south of Tobermory. The rescue operation turned into a bit of an epic and the 'shout' was the longest in Tobermory RNLI's history: 31 hours. Fortunately the proximity of the cargo ship meant that we were able to rotate the crew a couple of times but everyone involved worked for a minimum of 9 hours - some for a lot longer. Our full time mechanic, Jock, was on board the lifeboat throughout. This was taken with my new Panasonic FT20.
