Maidan

Tonight I had a great meeting with the Reverend, the head of their youth services, and someone on their social justice committee. The enthusiasm, the joy! We've solidified the dates, we added a brilliant activity - they are going to hold a workshop on being an ally. 

It is the 10th anniversary of Ukraine's Maidan protests. These were massive pro-democracy demonstrations in Kyiv when the Moscow-backed president dumped a trade deal with the EU. It led to that president's ouster. Zelensky has called it their first victory in the war with Russia. 

Germany's Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said today that Germany will provide another military aid package worth 1.3 billion euros ($1.42 billion) that will include four additional air defense units. 

There is a Czech crowdfunding project called, "Gift for Putin." It sends Ukraine weapons. It has raised the equivalent of $27.5 million from over 188,000 donors to buy a tank, a rocket launcher, a demining system, drones, and ammunition. They are currently raising money for a Black Hawk helicopter.
