Out on a limb…

This female Paradise Duck or Pūtangitagi was sitting on one limb of the tree and her mate was hidden on a much higher branch. They were making a lot of noise…were they bickering/protecting their young or calling out to friends! 

Had the last group meeting of our volunteer Oral Historians this afternoon- what a super group they are, and they have done fantastically well in the 8 months since they did their training.
