But, then again . . . . .

Pond Dipping.

It was "Love Your Park Day" today so, today, we had "T's in the Park" organised by "The Friends of Roslin Glen". It turned out to be a good bun fight with loads of refreshments on sale and loads of people to buy them; at the end of the day there was one single, solitary cake left unsold which was gratefully received by a small but ever hungry boy.

There were two bands to entertain us, a Beatles tribute band and a brass swing ensemble. We also had a story teller and, of course, the pond dipping where this young lady was carefully inspecting the contents of her net after each dip. The catch of the day was a very active long and wriggly thing that confused our resident experts, the conclusion was that it was either an elver or a lamprey but that it would have been impossible to ascertain which without removing its head to examine under a lens. That might have upset a few of the customers.

I seem to have ended up as official photographer and, in due course, will post the pictures in my folio. It will probably take me about a week to complete, so don't get excited and rush there now.
