Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Actually, JR's evening last night was not just a Christmas freebie (that's still to come), but it was a talk by a famous artist - Andy Scott, who designed The Kelpies (among many other things). They really enjoyed their evening. Now Hazel really should go and actually SEE them…

After a stroll round the Links this morning, I popped up to visit the doctor to see about my new pills. The new doctor I've got hold of only works part time, like most of the others, so you never get any continuity, and no one person is 'looking after you'. The new young doctor is very enthusiastic, wants this and that done - an ECG, an MRI, blood tests. All good.

When I got home, I had a look at the ECG reference letter she gave me. You can just walk in at the Royal, so after a coffee, off I popped to get it over with. And not for the first time, I was glad that we live on a bus route to both hospitals.

And there, I was in and out in about five minutes. Nobody else there. Just luck - I've sat for bloomin' ages there before.

JR took Archie a big walk to Waitrose to pick up a 'Click and Collect'. Archie has to wait outside though. But then they come home through the Bruntsfield shops, nd Archie knows which shops have treats. Mind you, JR has been known to give the staff the treats to give him!
