The Vennel and the Castle. Sometimes I have to fight my way through the crowds hanging about on the Vennel steps, just to get to work in the morning and after lunch. I used to work with an Italian guy who said it sometimes used to take him 20 minutes to try and cross St Mark’s Square in Venice whilst trying to avoid getting in people’s photos. I mean, we all like nice photos, but at what point does it get too much?
