Familiar faces

Today was an amazing journey on the last leg from Rapid City SD to Denver. I started with view of Mount Rushmore (above is from round the corner ). It is always unusual when you see something so famous, its so familiar that is odd to see it. This was a different angle.
I stopped at Bear Country to see lots of ... well bears I guess, but also mouse, foxes, lynx and much more. I called by the new Crazy Horse sculpture in progress (similar scale to Rushmore but one big Indian on a horse)
Then south in to Nebraska through National Parks with wild buffalo herds and great views. In Nebraska the Black Hills gave way to the prairies again. I called by the delightful carhenge and then on thru Cheyenne , Wyoming arriving in Denver in time for dinner with the guys.
