Purple Explosion!
This purple wildflower is exploding all over the meadow next to my house. First, we had the yellow dandelions and then the little buttercups. I couldn't find out what these purple wildflowers are called. This may be the last spectacular show of yellows and purple in that lot forever. This land is being prepped for a new house to be built soon. A well was recently drilled and a septic system is scheduled to go in next. I guess it will be a new beginning for someone.
I took a real close-up of the flower as well as pictures of the whole meadow. Playing with the closeup, I thought it looked like a purple explosion in itself.
Today was a wishy washy day. A little sun, a little clouds, a little wind and a little rain... like I said a wishy washy kind of day. It kind of set the mood for today. Here's to a better tomorrow!
Edit: HCB suggested it may be a cornflower. Googled it and she was correct. Thanks for the info. cornflower
