A friend from our walking pack at Auckland Joggers was in Oamaru last night on a road trip with two friends from her primary school days. She popped in to have coffee with us this morning while her two friends visited the Victorian Precinct. It was lovely to see her and we had a good catch up. As she was about to leave the temperature started dropping, so she brought her suitcase in and changed into some warmer clothes. Not long after she left it started to rain so I had to dash out to bring in the washing and hang it on a rack inside.
MrMacD concentrated on the design of our Christmas card while I sanded some areas in the laundry prior to putting on an undercoat. After lunch I went down to start painting and realised that I needed to put some masking tape around the windows, which delayed the painting a little. Eventually paint was applied and although it was only on the window frames, the door frame and a few other miscellaneous areas the laundry is looking better already.
As I was changing out of my painting gear our builder called to say he was coming round with our plumber to check the area for the new hot water cylinder so they were both on the same page. They arrived ten minutes later and inspected the tank, which is currently stored in the garage, then came into the basement area and discussed where the tank will be placed and what the builder needs to do to prepare for the tank to be installed. Most impressed.
We’ve had a lot of heavy rain today and the temperature has dropped a lot, so my emergency blip is of the clouds lit up by the setting sun this evening.
