Itchy Dragon

St Michael, patron saint of Linlithgow, seen here giving the head and neck of his dragon a good old scratch. It's possible however he may be lancing ticks very carefully too. It does seem to have it's eyes closed in pleasure at the experience. 
This was on the way back from the dental hygienist appointment where I was getting my teeth scratched and polished. It's an experience that doesn't seem as painful as it used to 20 years ago.
