The Old Steps

Our new home was built about 10 years ago after the original wooden chalet on the site burnt down. It looks cottage-y but is up to date inside. Parts of the garden have been here since the original building, probably in the Thirties, gives it a lovely mature feel. These old steps in the evening sunshine are one such bit, and there is an old wall hidden behind the rapidly burgeoning bits and pieces either side. I like the blue geraniums but the rest of it needs tidying before it gets the better of us. The old lions are from our old family home, we left in 2001 to downsize the first time.
