Pink Stripe
The contrasts between light and dark, colourful skies and grey days, is one of the pleasures of this time of year. It helps me seek out and appreciate beauty that is there - sometimes it’s harder to find and more fleeting but that makes it more special. And so I paused to enjoy the sunset this evening. The pink stripe in the sky, the crows silhouetted against the brightness as they settled in to their evening roost. A sense of closure and calm at the end of the day.
After the colour had faded we went off to our local farm shop who were offering a food tasting evening. I had the most delicious hot chocolate on arrival - thick, creamy and smooth, and very indulgent! As was the sushi we enjoyed afterwards. So much flavour in such tiny morsels.
Hoping your Thursday was a good one.
Gratefuls:
- A happy and tasty evening out with Andy and other local people.
- Time to do some planning for the coming months. Working through some options and steps to clarify my decisions.
- Merlin’s joy with his new blanket. He kept it close to him all evening.
