Journies at home

By journiesathome

Yesterday I learnt the word apricity (n), origin Latin.  Meaning the warmth of the sun in the winter.

We struggled against a cold wind and found cèpes des pins in abundance on the hill above Barthas.  We filled a bag and took them back to Mr Mumblyman but he wasn't around so we ended up at atmospher where Canelle told us to dry them and re-hydrate them with port, add garlic etc.  We had a beer in the shade of the Couverts with the Cers blowing cold. and sought the apricity on the way home.

Today there was no sun at all, but life felt good.  We found a field of Rosés des prés, won on a scratch card, Nico got his license back, David turned 91 etc.
