Can you see the forest for the trees?

Today is a public holiday in South Africa, I am supposed to be doing some work to catch up after my month's leave in May, but procrastination is a fantastic thing.

This is a quilt top that I put together yesterday afternoon, in about an hour, from a Bali Batik Jelly roll, plus a running quarter meter of green fabric. I was testing a process that we will be doing with the the area quilting guild (SSQ) in August. That and partly because all these little strips of fabric lying around were driving me mad. Killed to birds with one stone and I got a beautiful quilt top in the process.

I am really impressed with it and I love the way it looks like forest.
