Unexpected Bounty

I had a short walk down to the village centre today to post a birthday card to an old friend. Thankfully, we have still got a post box, although we’ve lost our post office and bus shelter in recent times. On the way down, I spotted this tub by the water trough which will have been placed there by the village environment group. It was rather nice, with a beautiful fuchsia in it. I also spotted a skip in one of our neighbouring houses which amongst other things, contained a number of squashes -of assorted types. As the skip was off the road, I tried knocking at the door to get permission to take one, but as there was no reply, I helped myself to a rather nice Crown Prince.
