Bird Ahoy!

Emma and Rafferty came round this morning.  It was lovely to see them and I was chuffed when Raffy gave me a book to read with him...Mr Snow.  Emma took a quick pic whilst I wasn't looking, I've put it in the extras. 

After lunch we took a drive out to Cob House for a coffee at their cafe.  We wandered over to look at the alpacas and reindeer before going in.

On return home I spotted this heron perched on one of the house boats.  The heron is a regular visitor to this stretch of the canal, but normally sticks to the towpath.  He stayed there for quite a while.
