The old and the new

The sun was shining on the way to the office. I visited the post office near Battersea station for the first time – the staff there were lovely. We had a giggle when I almost left the PO after tapping my card, not realising that I had to insert it, and the lady behind the counter said "Make sure you do a runner for an amount larger than that!"

At lunch, I had a blether with a colleague on a walk to the Tate Britain and back. We took in one of the re-hung rooms showing post-WWI paintings. The dark purple on the walls of the room is gorgeous – I wonder if that would work on walls of my front room....
