Light up Lanimers

It's been a long week and I'm looking forward to some down time over Christmas.  This evening I volunteered to ride a bike as part of the Light up Lanimers parade in Lanark.  The temperature had dropped so I was wrapped up but it was fun mustering in the car park with Eifel Towers, Canons, clowns and varius other things on hand-drawn floats and being surrounded by a gaggle of kids in high-viz vests and bubble light sticks.  Myself and D ended up pushing the bikes at the front of our group, just behind the local Panto cast, and they were covered in lights with presents all lit up in the cargo carrying bits.  It was pretty fun and reminded me of the gala days when we were kids, just colder.

I got a picture of the bike, but it wasn't great, so the blip instead is of the tower and Christmas tree all lit up on the main street. Hoping that some of the pros wiht big cameras got a good blip of us!
