Baltic Bassenthwaite

I set off at 7am , it was -4.5 degrees. Clare drove myself and Liz to the Lake. We saw an amazing cloud invasion on the way.
We wore our wetsuits but some ladies were just in their swimsuits.

I struggled to get dressed with cold hands but enjoyed hot chocolate, a festive Bakewell and a lemon Madeleine afterwards. The crack was good as always.

Tom wanted to visit a gallery in Allendale. It was a lovely drive over. The Gallery was full of local artists displaying jewellery, paintings, knitwear, sculptures and other artistic paraphernalia. We also enjoyed a good lunch before taking a scenic drive home through Alston.
