The day before going on holiday is usually pretty manic but for some reason, today has been fairly quiet. So I baked 2 cakes to take with us (it’s a bowls holiday, about 40 from the club where Mr W plays plus a further 20 from other local clubs, which sounds horrendous but is actually great fun).
On the left is my favourite bake, an apple & cinnamon loaf cake. On the right is an experiment using the same basic recipe but made with pears & ground ginger.
