Surprise!

The village council are very active here.... Lots of fundraising, two Little Libraries, all sorts of community things.

For a few months there's been a couple of boxes at the lower Little Library and they are filled with donations from a local store of reduced to clear stuff in order to reduce food waste, any one can visit and take stuff to use.....I think the local children had a field day in the holidays, I used to see them belting down the road with bags of pastries and I did wonder what they came from since we don't have a local shop anymore.

I went yesterday ... My haul was a red onion, two Raisin Danishes and a teeny pot of Hot Smoked Salmon paté. Lots of other stuff in there too.

Also whoever organised this also takes in bunches of flowers and they leave them on doorsteps!
