Northern Lights

Still buzzing from a quick trip out to do some night photography after receiving an Aurorawatch Red Alert. I started off at Swaddywell NR where nothing was visible to the naked eye, but my camera sensor was able to pick up green and pinkish hues near the northern horizon.

There were even better views from the Stamford Road north towards Helpston. Despite the very chilly temperatures it was wonderful to be out under such a beautiful starry sky, and a Little Owl calling nearby was just the finishing touch!
