Hot job
The vacuum in the condenser under the low pressure turbine of unit 6 is bad.
That's not so good for the efficiency of the unit.
So we have to run with two vacuumpumps to maintain a pressure of about 40mbar absolute while normally a pressure of about 20 till 25 mbar with only one pump can be reached.
Andy has found the possible leak with special equipment, using helium.
This helium we spray in very small amounts at suspected places and a probe in the outlet of the vacuumpump gives alarm when the helium is detected there.
So in this way we sprayed it on the bellow of the low pressure turbine and the probe detected the helium
It was a warm job as you can see....
Here is Andy looking if he can see where the rag is sucked in; there must be the leak.
