Sunday: The Woman They Wanted

Our former cat sitter from Vancouver, Shannon, has written a book and has sent us a copy which we received yesterday.  Her story is in the public domain and she’s now written a book, telling her story.

And, very excitingly, there’s a chapter about us.  I won’t bore you with the whole thing but her descriptions made us hoot (in fairness, we approved them before publication).

First up, about K (this is when Shannon first came to meet Max and Fred for her first cat sitting job):

‘When I rang the doorbell for our meeting, a spunky woman in her fifties with tanned skin, spiked brown hair, and a husky voice opened the door.  She was the kind of woman you knew had a tattoo somewhere and a slew of stories to tell’.

As for me:

‘Booky Goatherd was taller, blonde, with a proper British accent.  She was easy-going and relaxed.  The kind of person who melts the stress of you if you just stand near enough.  Despite Booky Goatherd having a high-profile job, she was unassuming and savvy.  An intellectual, she always had a book going’.

K and I are currently considering who we would like to play us in the movie.
