Snipping n' snapping
Lots of trees being snapped this morning, their nakedness gradually appearing. I do love trees. This was followed by Robin serenading us on the open heathland. Taken from a distance, & quickly, as Indie was approaching. Later after much squelching we walked up Acorn Field lane to the cut through to the old railway track where I did some pruning to make the walk through less accident prone.
Walking back towards the village, Herbie pulled alongside in his car. Again, I did'nt immediately recognise him, as his normal greeting on cycling past is "Morning Viv". He stopped not only to say hello but also to tell me why he had'nt been out & about on his bicycle. He's had a cold. Last year when he suddenly stopped cycling, we, the locals, wondered what had happened to him. He had been having treatment for prostate cancer. Finding his strength & fighting back to fitness he's been back on his bicycle so wanted to put our minds at ease. He has an exercise bike in his conservatory so if the weather is horrid he can exercise at home. It was lovely to spend a few minutes chatting with him, before he headed home, & we headed back to Mum's for coffee & time spent on the jigsaw puzzle.
