A frosty Langdale Valley

An early start got us to the NT car park by the Old Dungeon Gill in time to get a parking spot. We walked further into the valley (where I took this pic), then up over Rossett Pike, Esk Pike and Bowfell.

Although "only" 10.5 miles, it is such a technical walk, all across boulders and uneven rocky ground (much of which was frozen) that if felt much longer.

The pint of Old Peculier at the Old Dungeon Gill Pub was well earned - and very much enjoyed!
