The House that Moved

This is a 1-48th scale model based on the "House that Moved", a 15th century merchant's house in Exeter, UK which was moved in 1961 to make way for a city bypass. I scratch-built the model from plans for a 1-12th scale model in one of my doll's house modelling books.

The building is typical of medieval architecture of the time with over-hanging upper floors designed to reduce taxes based on occupied land space. I have experimented with a low-key effect in line with the Mono Monday challenge set by Carolina.
