Building

Very chilly morning and I was up early to finish reading papers for a Board meeting this morning after a catch up with VG.
Walked down into town and it was an interesting meeting, with some big decisions and wide ranging discussions but all very collegial. We overran a bit so I had to walk briskly back up the hill and then get the car to collect A from work for her afternoon at Uni. Because she only had a seminar and no lecture today we had time for a cup of tea and a natter…she’s still very bouncy after her conference paper on Friday which seemed to go really well and she’s had lots of good feedback about it.
Whilst she was at her seminar I did some phoning about getting P’s financial support set up (still not resolved!!) and also spoke to the bank to sort out some power of attorney stuff…should be able to go down to the branch tomorrow to finalise it and get the statements we need.
Took A back up to her car at work and we transferred all the stuff I’d brought back from P’s for her and I to sort out…we’ll do it when I’m over at hers this weekend.
Made some haggis, neeps and tatties for supper since by the end of the day it was horrible sleety rain, cold and had felt dark since lunchtime…dreich and miserable. Got the flat warm and settled down to catching up on Shetland episodes and some other stuff recorded whilst I’ve been away, whilst writing some lists, texting T about getting plumbing and other work done on P’s house and doing general planning for the next few weeks. Taking it easy…I’m quite tired
