Birthday (almost!)

It is my godson's birthday tomorrow (he'll be six). I won't see him tomorrow but I was over at his parent's flat this evening, so I brought his present over and he was allowed to open it early. I was amused that even the birthday card was enjoyed and I think he liked the present itself - a science experiments kit, which both he and his dad will enjoy I think!

In other news, I finally had the hospital appointment today that I've been waiting almost a year and a half for. I'm now on the waiting list for surgery. I will still have to wait a bit for that, but hopefully not such a long time. That the next step is surgery wasn't unexpected and just getting on the waiting list feels like a big step forward, even if the waiting does continue for now.
