A late night post after three joy-filled days with our family all in one place at the same time - a relatively rare treat. For their last morning, Wales saved up one if its wild blustery days, with showers driven hard enough by the wind to make you turn your head away. The sea choppy and agitated. Undeterred, we took to the cliff top, but took no chances with unpredictable gusts, keeping well clear of the edges
In late afternoon, just as Mrs M and I were returning to our base overlooking the estuary, the clouds parted and the landscape across the river was bathed in warm light from the lowest of angles, with a complex, colourful cloudscape as a backdrop. A consolation for our parting. The sprinkling of birds is a bonus
