Iceberg

today we sailed through the very icy Lemaire Channel. I loved the blueness and shapes of the icebergs some of which, like this one, had penguins, birds or seals resting on them. We were to have landed at Yalóur Island                   but because of the nearby icebergs we did some zodiac cruising there instead then went on for a landing at Petermann Island. These are Adele penguins resting on top of an iceberg.

PS belatedly added a couple of extras- a blue-eyed cormorant taken when we landed at Petermann island and a weddel seal which was sitting on an iceberg taken from the zodiac .
