Mother Tree

A very good day all round.  We had a great play to start with, then snack time and then we went off to plant bluebell and daffodil bulbs in a bit of the wood which is being improved. There were some huge and very straight oak trees, the seedlings of which have been spread out and had protective collars put round them. The children were very keen on the whole bulb planting process.
Later on I spent a good few hours at the allotment. Any time spent down there in the winter is so valuable.  I was mostly prunning and cutting back. As I was active it didn't seem cold.
