Fortunately I didn’t go out this morning because at 9.20 I received a message to say that the parcel I was expecting tomorrow would be delivered between 11am and midday.

Later I went out in the car, with a camera, but couldn’t find anywhere to park (without paying). It was dull and drizzly and not worth driving beyond Grasmere so I went home and walked down the hill. I stood outside the Apple Pie for a while trying to catch people walking past.
