Farewell to Yachats...for now

Last BACKBLIP. I love the wide open, empty beaches of the Oregon coast in winter. 

Sue and I had a quiet, mostly media-free week away from Portland. We returned to news of hostage releases, prisoner releases, and a temporary ceasefire in Gaza. We see that people all over the world are advocating a permanent ceasefire with time to bury the dead and the opening of relief channels for those who are still alive. We wish we could offer our privilege and the beauty and quiet of the Oregon coast to all who need a break from the horrors of war. May their suffering be eased.
