Black & White

Can you spot Chaiyya? A black cat is well camouflaged in the shadow. She didn’t want to come inside this morning, the birds at the feeders were too fascinating.

When I blipped her, the temperature was at +1 degree C, but now it’s freezing again. Yesterday’s snow is still there, still causing trouble - all roads to my mother’s village are closed due to fallen trees.

My drive to the studio and back wasn’t too difficult though. The main roads in the valley have been cleared, and I managed to finish work and get back home before it was completely dark.

Some straggling cranes are still on their way westwards, flying high, just underneath the clouds. I hope they reach a warmer part of Europe soon, as we have a very frosty forecast for the next week or two.
