His name in lights

I was on the High Street picking up a couple of things when I noticed one of the Christmas lights had the name of a local restaurant on it. 

Nothing unusual about that: the town's lights are mostly sponsored by local businesses. 

Except for the fact that Umberto's closed down last year. 

Briefly wondered if he'd been given his lights in perpetuity, for 34 years of heroically feeding us tasty Italian food before retiring. . 

And imagined, years from now, people puzzled as to who he was.
