White-tailed Deer

We see White-tailed deer occasionally at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. Usually it's at a distance, with them moving away from us as quickly as they can. That raised tail flashing white communicates a warning to any other deer in the area. This mom and young one (trying to hide behind some Spanish Moss) were almost as curious about Fletcher and I as we were of them. 'Almost'!  I was enchanted but the Big White Dog was so excited and wanted in the worst way to join them for a fun romp through the gardens. It was all I could do to hold him back. So not typical of him.  It was very exciting for the both of us!
