New spire

We passed Notre Dame on the way to a concert today. I took some photos, we hugged and were photographed. He then introduced himself as a photographer from AFP (Agence France Press) and it could be that our picture will be published somewhere tomorrow. We are curious ...

He also pointed out to us that today is a very special day for Notre Dame: the new wooden structure of the new spire has been put in today.

Our destination this evening was another church (see extra): the church of Saint-Ephrem, giving it the status of a Syriac Catholic Mission. We had tickets for a piano recital by candlelight, turning the building into a place from a different time and world.
