Trysting

A very bright moon this evening on my way back from The Tryst where the Scottish Country Dancing Group meets.

Tonight was our end of term/St Andrew's Night party. This month also sees the 100th anniversary of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Association.

We each brought a contribution and enjoyed a light supper half way through. The biggest treat was live music with a pianist and fiddler. We danced the usual mixtures of reels, strathspeys and jigs.  I  even have a short demo of step dancing. A fun evening.

Earlier in the I and other volunteers from book shop meet with CHAS, one of six charities the bookshop raises money for, to mark us having now raised over £70k to support them. It was interesting to learn more about their work.
