Coastal train journey

Our train from Reading to Newton Abbot was 15 minutes late arriving, so there was the inevitable last-minute platform change, and we all had to run up and over the bridge to the opposite platform. It was a nice quiet train though and we enjoyed the last section along the Exe and Teign estuaries, with the coast in between.
Mike and Barbara met us (30 mins late by now) and drove us out to see mum in Bovey Tracey - no hire car this trip, so relying on lifts and the local buses.
