Sunny.

It was cold but without any wind, in the sun it was very pleasant. 
 We had a large box full of all sorts to take to the Cancer  research shop . As it s near Channelside we went for a walk alongside Walney Channel. It's a nice flat walk which was just as well as my knee was quite stiff and a bit sore. I'm debating whether to make an appointment at the drs... if an appointment is possible!

I drove round to the shop which is in the retail park and it took a while to find a parking space. M carried the box which was quite heavy. As we reached the door there was a notice to say they werent accepting any donations.  I popped in to ask if we could leave the box.. ( it's a huge area so plenty of space ) but they said no. 

So I drove into town. I phoned the Hospice shop first ti check they wanted donations and the lady seemed very grateful. M had to carry the box again as I limped  alongside. Next we walked down to Nationwide to deposit the cheque from Aviva. 

I phoned them this morning and the best I could get was a 'live chat' ie I type a question and 'someone' answers. I got nowhere. Apparently they will not match competitors quotes. So I'll probably  go elsewhere.  I do miss being able to pop in to Swinton , and get somebody knowledgable to find the best deal.
