The Birch Wood

Damp n the morning, however it brightens up quite nicely. A lovely day with a cool breeze still coming off the North Sea. Lovely autumn sunshine now reaches the woodland floor. The stripy shadows are back.

There are no clouds for the after work walk. The getting dark quickly with clear skies results in ice forming on some roads. There is a lovely orange glow from the receding sun on the western horizon.  In the east, a large moon is rising. Unfortunately my phone doesn't do the scene justice as I hadn't switched night mode on.
