Croome Court

We went to Croome Court today to meet up with Chris and Jean.  After lunch in their cafe we went over to the house to see the Christmas decorations.   I took the shuttle bus, they walked down.

Before going into the house I spotted another colourful bird similar to the one I blipped a few  days back. Apparently there are seven of these birds scattered through the estate.  These fibreglass sculptures have been decorated by local community groups.  I've added a photo to the extras.

Alongside the festive decorations is a collection of giant birds heads "Conference for the Birds" by Marcus Coates.  The sound and sculpture installation is based on the book "A History of British Birds" by Thomas Bewick.
