Toffee the Ted
Arlo had a visitor this weekend. Toffee, the teddy from nursery. He came with a bag, a camera, a notebook and a pencil case with a pen in it.
We were to take pictures and write about the weekend in the notebook.
Mostly Toffee spent the weekend out of reach of both kids because Ida genuinely loved him and Arlo genuinely enjoys winding up. There was lots of 'mine' related fighting. I thought Toffee might have ended up with an ear missing at one point.
Of course, we didn't write this up in the notebook - according to the notebook, Toffee had a grand old time.
He played hide and seek (Ida stuffed him in our food cupboard to kerp him from Arlo for use later on and we only found him at tea time). He sat on the wrestling ring at the gala day and was a champion because the wrestlers were too scared to take him on (big burly wrestler told me to 'git that dug aff the ring affore aw they Bains think they can climb on tae'). He dressed up as a superhero dog and was Arlo's sidekick all morning (last ditch attempt at a photo because we'd forgotten about him all day Sunday).
Think we managed to scrape through a semi- plausible weekend tale for The teachers to show the class this week. Am slightly worried that homework if this nature causes so much disruption...what's actual maths and science homework going to do to us?!?
