Over 27 years ago I joined the Air Training Corps and pretty much gained an instant dislike of shoe polish. I'd spend ages with little balls of cotton wool working the polish into my parade shoes to try & bring them to the mirror shine that some of the others achieved. I left cadets when I went to college in September 1990 and I'm unsure whether I've opened a tin of polish since.
Friday's trip out in the rain left some white marks on my black boots, so whilst at my parents yesterday I borrowed this off my dad. I've no intention of trying to get my boots to a high shine though, just back to black will do me fine.
