Photography and Poetry

Today was spent in the company of a fellow photographer, an award winning poet and three pupils from Tobermory High School. Our task was to interpret Yvonne Marjot's award winning poems photographically. What a wonderful day. Here is one of my images taken at Calgary and inspired by Yvonne's poem Sonnets for the Sea I: Metaphorical Distance. Our work should result in an exhibition at An Tobar, the Tobermory Arts Centre, in September.

Out at farthest focus, drifting, peaceful:
Green ladled with mauve like a healing bruise.
