First Snow

We awoke to the sound of excited mini neighbours heading down to school down the steps past our house, buoyed up by the first snow of the winter!  Meanwhile the neighbourhood WhatsApp group was pinging with messages of thanks to those who had been out early gritting the road.  I've broken the ice on the birdbath, filled up the bird feeders, kept an eye on the street for our supermarket delivery, thank you Karlo, and spent some time on my jigsaw.  It's lovely out there, but really cold and I'm weighing up if I go out for a run mid afternoon.
