Ta Prohm

Back to the tuk tuk and back to the temples today, with Koyal helping us make the most of the last day of our pass. We went first to Ta Prohm, the ‘Tomb Raider’ temple and possibly our favourite, a very atmospheric site with big piles of fallen, moss-covered boulders and trees growing up over the ruins. Then we went to the ‘Pyramid Tomb’ of Ta Keo, which one of us climbed up, and to the smaller temple of Preah Neak Poan, which is set on an island in the middle of a large lake covered in water lillies. All very beautiful – and we were back in time for a late breakfast. Still we were fairly knackered by that point and spent the rest of the day chilling, making use of the pool at the guest house and staying there for tea too…
